So what is a m3u?
M3U stands for MP3 URL. It is a format mostly associated with audio playlists but has expanded to contain visual information and can be used for multimedia files. Multimedia players use M3U files to queue files for playback. This is one of the most used formats for live streaming.
An M3U will contain the address and port to your selected server, your login info for the server, and the output type you would like from the server.

What is EPG?
EPG (Electronic Program Guide) is your guide to your content. Most commonly used by most as a TV Guide. Much like porting your channel lineup to your device using M3U you can also port in the EPG using another separate link. This link will look slightly different.

The only differences between the links is the php file and there is not an output type required with EPG links.
Getting Started with m3u4u.com
First create your free account and verify it.
Next login.
Select Create Playlist.
Note: If you do not see the screen below click on Playlists on the top right and select Manage.
Next select the type of playlist source you want to use. We recommend API for its ease of use and customization on this platform. API works for most users since M3U lines are rarely sent by most providers unless requested.
Enter your account information. This should have came to you in an email most likely. For output type it recommended for most devices to select MPEG-TS. However if you commonly experience buffering and you have completely ruled out the possibility of network connection you can try switching this at any time. It is very rare you would ever change this once you find what works best for your device.
Important: Are all channels buffering? Then try changing the source.
Is it only one or two channels buffering? Changing source will most likely not fix this. Report channels to provider.
Make sure you select Auto-Sync to keep your list updated and select a time you will be less likely to be using the service or a couple hours prior to when you will most likely use the service. From time to time providers add channels and this will keep you up to date with all channels. Always avoid syncing while using the list.
TIP: If you are using this list for a TV you want to have complete control over channels such as a child’s TV or whatever reason. Leave this off and you can manually sync the list whenever you want to should you want to add a new channel or category. Again NEVER sync while using the service.
Click on Playlists at the top and then select Editor.
Now you will see a list of group Categories from your provider. Simply click the (EYE) icon to remove or add back categories from view in the left column and individually edit channels in each category in the middle column. You can rename them or block them from view on your device. In the right column you will see a list of channels added or removed from the provider since your last playlist sync. Create a different playlist using the same account and have full control over who sees what from one device to the next.
Make sure you SAVE CHANGES.
